Translocation

Memories of being in mum’s pouch 🙂

Kangaroos are always released in social groups of ten or more and generally when they are more than 14 kgs. Prior to translocation for final release they receive various medication to protect them from disease. On the day of their move they are caught, sedated and quickly transported to enclosures at the final release site – a sanctuary where no humans and dogs are allowed and where there is plenty of grass, water and shelter.

What?! No milk… I’m having second thoughts about this whole “no more room service” thing…
